Minimum Job Requirements:
Candidates must possess NYS certification in Social Studies, 7-12 and a Bachelor’s Degree; however, a Master’s degree or higher within the discipline is preferred.

Position: Social Studies Teacher, Part-time (0.6 FTE)

Guilderland High School is committed to preparing students to become active, informed, caring, reflective, and productive citizens/life-long learners and we are seeking a part-time (0.6 FTE) high school Social Studies teacher for the 2024-25 school year.
Prospective high school Social Studies teacher candidates must have a strong commitment to student-centered learning, social justice, using evidence-based formative assessments, knowledge of the NYS Social Studies Framework and Next Generation Common Core Learning Standards in reading and writing, fostering inquiry and argumentation, and supporting academic excellence and growth. In addition, experience in psychology, source-based writing, and working to support students with diverse learning needs are also preferred.
