Job Description:
POSITION: SUMMER PAINT CREW WORKER (3 OPENINGS)
DURATION: APPROXIMATELY JUNE 30, 2025, through AUGUST 29, 2025
HOURS: 6AM – 2:30PM
SUMMARY:
The summer paint crew worker works under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Facilities and the Director of Facilities and performs manual work in the interior and exterior painting of school district property. While performing the duties of this job, the summer paint crew worker is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hand and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch; and talk or hear. The summer custodial worker must frequently lift and/or move more than 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wash, sand, scrape to prepare surfaces for painting
- Cover trim, floors, and furniture with masking tape, drop clothes and other protective coverings.
- Use brushes, rollers or other tools to apply paint, varnishes, and sealants.
- Seal paint cans, clean brushes and rollers
- Other tasks assigned.

The summer paint crew worker should demonstrate the ability to meet work schedules and maintain output of work under normal conditions. Regular attendance, dependability, acceptance of responsibility, willingness to follow established procedures, cooperation with supervisors and fellow employees and ability to react appropriately to changing work conditions are normal expectations of the job.
