Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teaching Assistant to support our elementary classrooms on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate will assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, supervising students, and maintaining a positive learning environment when the regular teaching assistant is unavailable. This role is vital in ensuring continuity of instruction and student support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing instructional activities and classroom routines.
• Provide individual or small group support to students as directed.
• Supervise students in various settings, including the classroom, playground, cafeteria, and during arrival and dismissal.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Reinforce school rules and expectations for student behavior.
• Support students with special needs by following individualized education plans (IEPs), if applicable.
• Monitor student progress and report observations to the teacher or school staff.
• Perform clerical tasks such as preparing materials, organizing supplies, and taking attendance.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration.
• Follow all school policies and procedures.
