Minimum Job Requirements: 

NYS Certification - Special Education; Experience with students with developmental disabilities preferred 

The Guilderland Central School District is accepting applications for a leave of absence for a self-contained elementary special education teacher (Feb. 2026-June 2026) located at Guilderland Elementary School. 

The Guilderland Central School District is currently looking for candidates who possess:

• a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred; valid NYS Certification in Special Education 1-6 or K-12

• Diverse backgrounds, educational interests, and experiences

• A passion for teaching and a positive attitude

• An adaptable and coachable mindset

• Familiarity with supporting the NYSAA standards and supporting students with developmental disabilities
