English Teacher LOA
Minimum Job Requirements:
Candidates must possess NYS certification in English Language Arts, 7-12 and a Bachelor’s Degree; however, a Master’s degree or higher within the discipline is preferred. Registration through the Capital Region BOCES sub system is preferred, but not required. Experience with Syracuse University Project Advance English is preferred, but not required.

Position: English Teacher, Full-time (1.0 FTE) Anticipated Leave of Absence
Location: Guilderland High School
Start Date: November 2024
The Guilderland Central School District is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) high school English teacher for an anticipated leave of absence that will start in November 2024 and last through January 2025 (or longer).
Experience in writing, literacy, co-teaching, and working to support students with a diverse array of learning needs (including at-risk, economically disadvantaged students) is preferred. Prospective candidates must be familiar with the Next Generation ELA Standards, argumentation, critical thinking, and methods to objectively assess and communicate standards-based measures of performance and growth.
