The Guilderland Central School District is committed to seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to continue our tradition of excellence. We are now accepting applications to fill a full-time, probationary track middle school vocal music position. The position consists of teaching general music classes and preparing and directing a grade-level chorus for multiple concerts throughout the year. Knowledge of Music Learning Theory is a plus. We are looking for candidates who have: 

• Diverse backgrounds, educational interests, and experiences

• Experience with teaching vocal/ general music & directing large choral ensembles

• Positive attitude and passion for teaching

• An adaptable and coachable mindset

• Enthusiasm for the well-being and progress of children

• Strong musicianship, communication, and organizational skills

• High levels of cultural proficiency and a desire to ensure that ALL students are included and successful

• Strong interest in working collaboratively as part of a team

• Music K-12 Certification
