Office Assistant II – High School Special Education Office

Guilderland High School is seeking a highly motivated Office Assistant to support our High School Special Education program. In this critical position, you’ll ensure the special education process for students at Guilderland High School runs smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • -Schedule Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and coordinate with teachers and service providers
  • -Monitor and meet compliance deadlines for IEPs and evaluations
  • -Handle calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with professionalism and sensitivity
  • -Maintain confidential records and manage multiple student data systems
  • -Manage school calendars, substitute lists, and teacher coverage
  • -Support staff with documentation, timelines, and follow-through on required paperwork
  • -Coordinate and maintain substitute coverage for teachers and teaching assistants
  • -Schedule interviews and assist in preparing materials for candidate selection

Office Assistant I 10-month

Office Assistant I -10 months

Minimum Job Requirements: 

Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and two (2) years of clerical experience. Basic knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office and student management systems. 

Job Description:

  • Guilderland High School is seeking a qualified individual to work in the main office as the high school receptionist.
  • This is a 10-month position. 
  • This position involves interacting with the public and the high school staff, which requires good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • The successful candidate will be working with the main office team and will be involved in other projects involving advanced clerical and office support work.
  • The work is done under the general supervision of the high school principal.

$18.93 - $19.77 hr commensurate with experience.
