Job Description:

POSITION: SUMMER PAINT CREW WORKER (4OPENINGS)

DURATION: APPROXIMATELY JUNE 29, 2026, through AUGUST 28, 2026

HOURS: 6AM – 2:30PM

SUMMARY:
The summer paint crew worker works under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Facilities and the Director of Facilities and performs manual work in the interior and exterior painting of school district property.  While performing the duties of this job, the summer paint crew worker is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hand and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch; and talk or hear.  The summer custodial worker must frequently lift and/or move more than 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Wash, sand, scrape to prepare surfaces for painting
  • Cover trim, floors, and furniture with masking tape, drop clothes and other protective coverings.
  • Use brushes, rollers or other tools to apply paint, varnishes, and sealants.
  • Seal paint cans, clean brushes and rollers
  • Other tasks assigned.

RELATED EXPECTATIONS:
The summer paint crew worker should demonstrate the ability to meet work schedules and maintain output of work under normal conditions.  Regular attendance, dependability, acceptance of responsibility, willingness to follow established procedures, cooperation with supervisors and fellow employees and ability to react appropriately to changing work conditions are normal expectations of the job.

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: SUMMER CUSTODIAL WORKERS 

BUILDING: VARIOUS

DURATION: APPROXIMATELY JUNE 29, 2026, through AUGUST 28, 2026

HOURS: FIRST & SECOND SHIFTS AVAILABLE

SUMMARY:
The summer custodial worker works under the supervision of the Head Custodian, the Custodial Supervisor, and the Assistant Director of Facilities and performs manual work in cleaning and caring for school district property and adjacent yards.  The summer custodial worker also does related minor maintenance tasks.  While performing the duties of this job, the summer custodial worker is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hand and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch; and talk or hear.  The summer custodial worker must frequently lift and/or move more than 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Sweeps and mops floors, corridors, and stairs.
  • Clean bathrooms and toilets.
  • Washes windows, walls, blackboards, sinks, and other fixtures.
  • Empties waste baskets, collects, and disposes of rubbish.
  • Vacuums and waxes and/or strip and refinish floors.
  • Moves furniture, books, boxes, and arrange chairs, tables, and other equipment.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
